past productions
The Ghost of Ockford Ridge (February 2007) Young People from
Waverley (aged 10 -15) worked with Writer/ Film Maker Grant Watson and
Youth Theatre Director Liz Landon to devise a Film in a Week. This warmly
humorous, spoof documentary was filmed in and around St Marks School and
the Ockford Ridge Estate, Godalming. Delivered as part of Farnham Maltings
Young Artists programme and funded by Waverley Borough Council.
The Day That Sticky Glue Fell From The Sky (October 2006). Children
(aged 8 – 10) worked with Playwright – Samantha Ellis, Designer
Keith Baker and YT Director – Liz Landon to devise and produce a
Play in a Week on the Ockford Ridge Estate. Funded by Waverley Borough
Council.
The Secret of Old Bog Farm (Summer 2006). Children (aged 8 -
10) worked with Playwright – David Lane, Designer Keith Baker and
YT Director Liz Landon to devise and produce a Play in a Week on the Chantries
Estate, Farnham. Funded by Waverley Borough Council.
Banquet A Feast of Summer Workshops for teenagers aged 13 –
17 on The Ockford Ridge Estate, featuring Nigerian Storytelling with Odiri
Ighamre-Aiken, Playwriting with Oladipo Agboluaje, Poetry with East African
poet Tuggstar and Batik Making with Martinique artist Tonie Grelet. Funded
by Waverley Borough Council.
SK8 (Summer 2006) A devised, Multi Media Performance in skateboarding
parks and estates in and around Farnham and Godalming. SK8 was
devised, choreographed and filmed in collaboration with local teenage
skateboarders, and The Dance Movement. Funded by The Local Network Fund
and Waverley Borough Council.
Pieces of Me by Hong Khaou (Summer 2005) A Community Theatre
Production with Chinese-Vietnamese participants living on the (now demolished)
Ferrier Estate, Greenwich. Pieces of Me brought the local community
of Eritarians, Somalians and West Africans together to watch the Chinese,
Vietnamese and British participants perform for two nights. Hong Khaou
is a writer of Chinese/Vietnamese origin who has worked with Mulal and
Soho Theatre Companies.
Master Juba by Michael McMillan (Summer 2004) Arts Regeneration
in collaboration with The National Maritime Museum worked with Young People
under the guidance of a creative team of director, musicians, choreographer
and writer to create their own production of Master Juba. Master
Juba has subsequently been professionally produced by Theatre Is
… and GLYPT (Albany Theatre and National Tour - 2006)
