our most recent theatre production footprints in the sand A double bill of new plays - For One Night Only by Oladipo Agboluaje and Letting Go by Rukhsana Ahmad explore the dreams and aspirations, loves and losses of African refugees to Britain. Footprints in the Sand was produced in association with Guilford's Yvonne Arnaud and Farnham Maltings, it toured to Oval House, London and theatres across the South East in 2008. Time Out ***A penetrating look at the stories behind the 'asylum seeker' headlines. Letting Go - A poignant tale with haunting performances giving weight to Helena Bell’s tender production. For One Night Only – Peppered with Agboluaje’s shrewd wit, endless belly laughs…great fun. (Tamara Gausi) London Lite - Theatre Pick of the Day Metro *** Warm-hearted, knockabout with an inventive set, plenty of clowning and some smart one liners. Terrific fun to watch. (Siobhan Murphy) Remote Goat Website **** Both Plays are intelligent, entertaining and very well executed. All the performances are strong throughout …Outstanding male leads, humour and charm…impressive physical performances. I strongly recommend this assured production. Something for everyone. (Lesley Pindar) Theatre World Website **** Great theatre, beautifully played…Energetic, lively and fun, played with gusto and charm. Excellent and witty direction. ( Michael Spring) The British Theatre Guide Footprints in the Sand does a good job at entertaining audiences as well as getting the message of the marginalised across. (Suman Bhuchar) Farnham and Haslemere Heralds A fresh approach to the subject matter…amusing and thought provoking, engaging and topical. (Chris Joint)
